Allegiant Bases

Not trying to be Debbie Downer, but you’re not getting either one of those right out of training. New vacancies come out approximately once a month, but that’s not a guarantee. You’re all but assured of getting ATW, FNT, or DSM initially.

Unless they grow the base (e.g. add another plane) it could take a while to hold. Also, even if there are vacancies, the company doesn’t have to offer them to new hires. Instead you’ll be offered FNT or ATW to ensure staffing for those bases (at least for a couple of months or so out of training) until you can bid somewhere else. So if you were awarded FNT out of training, but then were awarded a new base in the next system bid, that would take effect 4 months later (in general).
On a more positive note, there is quite a bit of movement at present and if/when a new base opens, that could create some additional movement. Also if your training is delayed, that would reduce the time spent in your initial base assignment.
Not so sure about CVG - it’s a bigger base than IND, but I believe the only recent vacancies have been backfills.

You’d only be displaced if your base closed, or if another base closed and you were bumped out of your base by someone more senior.
