We have seen a lot of ads over the last year for FA hiring in random places. So maybe maybe not. Someone also said that some of them are identity theft scams pretending to be hiring ads.

We just announced a few flights to MSP, but I'd be surprised if they opened a base there so soon. But you never know. Maybe buying Sun Country.

Gotcha. Yeah I see they accelerating flight schedule to southern destinations that Sunny was scheduling for in mid-September.

Yeah, it looks like retaliation for SCA coming to our bases. In case you didn't know, their CEO used to be the #2 guy here. Bit of a rivalry.

Honestly, if you've seen the allegiant Facebook page lately, and some of the savage comments, management attention should be elsewhere than more expansion. This summer has been an epic fail for us. We probably need to clean up our operation before more expansion, but greed and arrogance rules this place.

im starting to think that collecting money and then making it difficult to get a refund instead of a credit when it cancels is part of their business model…

In all fairness, every airline has been in total meltdown mode this summer. The stories from friends at Southwest and JetBlue sound almost identical to the crap show that we’ve had going on here all summer long.

We canceled 37 flights yesterday according to flight aware. Mainline AA 25. United 24. We are about 1/8th their sizes... Things are far worse here and our business model of 2x-4x weekly flights is not really compatible with *any* controllable cancelations from a passenger's viewpoint. AA or UA can reroute a passenger through a different hub. We can't. The vacation is quite literally ruined.

Are guys going to these new bases (DSM for example) getting off reserve fast? I wonder how long you’ll be on reserve

Very much Yes, the only catch is that sometimes there are so many new hires in these new bases they need to withhold trips for consolidation of knowledge, pushing people into reserve.

That's illegal, and they are going to find themselves in hot water with the socialist administration currently in office if they keep it up.

Do those airlines cancel people's vacation, then make it impossible to get a refund by requiring them to call a call center and literally wait 3-5 hours on the phone? Our passengers are complaining that the website doesn't allow them to get a refund, are only being issued future credit, and can't get through to anyone. They are furious. It has taken a major hit on our brand and reputation, even worse than the MD days when we cancelled constantly and were always in the press.

Management is now treating the customers the same way they treat us. "We don't care what you think the agreement says, this is how we interpret it, and this what we are doing". If something doesn't change, we won't be in business long.

Every airline, heck every business is facing challenges with labor and supply disruptions. Angry customers on facebook is nothing new. They’re angry till they get their next $29 ticket to Orlando. This to shall pass…..
