generally on the 20th of each month we find out what bases / plane will be available for the subsequent 1-2new hire classes. It's what's left over from our vacancy bid. however, the company can pick and choose from what is remaining, so some remaining positions may be axed. This is not like SkyWest where you choose your plane after the interview before class

I know it's very difficult to predict these type of things, but how long would it take to get SAV as a new hire? Assuming the Boeing seatlock is avoided.

impossible to answer especially for a base like Savannah. I would not describe that base as thriving....

Most junior SAV FO was hired this month. It is hard to predict but there are 3 FO's based there that are bidding out.

Agreed, if you’re only interested in SAV, I’d look elsewhere. I don’t see that base sticking around for the long haul.

The problem with even trying to estimate is without growth or attrition there is not a lot of movement right now. The only movement at Allegiant in the last 4 years has been only because of attrition. It is possible with other carriers getting ready to hire again, we may see movement as people leave to better options, with questions on if the retention bonus will ever pay out. Its hard to guess how many have had enough of the nonsense here and bail. OutSide that we would have to grow for movement to pick up and that has not happend in a long while. It will likely not happen tell a contract is actually done. I seems things might have to get worse here before that will still happen. The pilot group may actually have to prove we will go on strike. The last plan was to grow by 3 airframes next year with 737 adds and older 320 or 319 retirements. Depending on the delays on deliveries we may actually shrink airframes next year now. Unless they buy somemore used AB, everything is just sitting waiting on boeing and or the contract to make changes.

Well actually we did go from 1000 pilots to 1400, with much of that growth occuring in 2023. Although it seems we have nothing to show for that... AUS closed, ATW, FNT, DSM, BNA and PVU opened but the latter two have since shrunk a bit in terms of overall departures... oh and 120+ pilots in 737 long term training.

I'm in the November New Hire class. Anyone have any ideas on which plane/bases will be available for the November class? Thanks!

Now this is a question that can be answered! Assuming you're in the Nov 4th class, looks like PIE and PGD (3 each), FLL and SFB (1 each) all on the 320. While these are the maximum numbers, they may offer fewer within each if there are less than 8 new hires.

What is the relative health of ATW. Any projected movement in or out? Sorry I know these questions are a PITA
