Seems like for OCT. The junior line went to JAN 23 hire, hard to say how that has trended. The number of block hours each month can change by several pilots. Vegas you will see a lot of Tue, Wed, and Sat days off as a line holder. This is because Vegas does not fly a lot on those days. Looked like 5-6 Lines ended up with 11-12 days off. Training is probably 3 months depending on the size of classes and other events going on. I believe NH gets 1 year of pay at 70-hour min from day one.

The contract only requires 12 off for line holders 9 months of the year, the other 3 being 11. With the company being able to push pilots to 95 hours a month, and no minimum day, junior lineholding pilots are absolutely getting 12 days off...in the most egregious instances, sometimes even with only 70 hours of guarantee (that line full of single AVL-SFB/PIE/EWR turns, or single LAS-PSC/FAT/MFR turns). At that point you're better off on reserve. Mid seniority line holders get more days off, and senior line holders get far more days off (some get 20+). Being junior here here can be far more punishing than other airlines.

Example: Your line has a LAS-FAT turn. 2:45.
You get paid 2:45 for the day.

Yep, and if you take a base like Vegas, those days off are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday.

Default Provo

Does anyone have any info about seniority in Provo? Just wondering how available it is for a new hire to get?
Also, give me your top things you love about flying for Allegiant and something you wish the company could do better at(other than pay and getting the contract signed).

you won't have a problem getting provo as a new hire. there is so much FO attrition right now that nearly every base is attainable fairly quickly for a new hire. Provo is very easy for a new hire.

PRO's: day trips are the reason you come to allegiant - very little TAFB compared to any other airline; airline is best position out of the ULCC carriers to avoid bankruptcy or consolidation (unless G4 is the one making an acquisition); i genuinely enjoy the crews i fly with.

CON's: pay, pay, pay. management has historically ignored the pilot group, or actively antagonized pilot group. new management might not continue this trend, but they have a decade of poor leadership to overcome. union and management are both run like ma and pa shops or mob bosses depending on who you ask - nobody will tell you that union leadership or management are run like professional airline. you could get bored flying the same routes out of provo over and over again.

if you have more specific questions you can post them here or DM one of us

Thanks! I was just hired by Allegiant and have a start date next month. Ive been reading some threads about Allegiant and it seems like people are all over the place about how they feel about the company. I'm just trying to learn what I can from those who are part of Allegiant, although I also don't take everyones word to heart as some are just negative no matter what. From what I can tell there are a lot of pilots who don't actually work for Allegiant that like to badmouth it, and it seems like those who are at Allegiant seem to like it overall with a handfull of complaints, which is pretty normal for any work place. I've been trying to figure out the culture and if this will be a good place to fly at, and from what I can tell it should be. My biggest reason for applying to Allegiant is the day trips and Provo is 20 minutes from where I live. I have no interest in commuting or being on the road for days at a time. I wish we could get more info on the contract as it seems many are pretty pessimistic that it will get signed anytime soon, but one can hope, right??
Thanks for the reply, I appreaciate it.

Contract negotiations have been primarily focused on just the training section of the contract since the start of mediation nearly 6 months ago and no agreement has been reached. Some simple extrapolation & the realization there are numerous far more contentious & financially impactful sections yet to be tackled suggests the pessimists are probably being realistic.
