Hah... I've yet to meet anyone at Southwest even consider going to American. I have flown with several that had recall rights to American, pass them up and even more that had interviewed and declined their CJOs. Delta and FedEx on the other hand? Those are the primary poachers of Southwest pilots with a handful of United sprinkled in there. And even those three carriers are few and far between.

I wonder if the real legacies shy away from people with a lot of time because the only ones who are leaving are the ones who have been here less than 2 years. I do realize that some get comfortable after a few years but when you look at the numbers it doesn't make sense to get comfortable.

A lot to be said about being able to fly for a hometown airline. I have too much vested into the current job or else I would jump at the chance to work and be based in my hometown of Seattle.
Shameful to hear some are not appreciating the PAC NW.

Some live 2,200 miles from SEA and aren't too ecstatic at the possibility of the only east coast domicile closing.
