Disregard...I misread your post.

Why so defensive? It's all cyclical. Maybe in 10 years Southwest will be the place to be again.

I'm far from being defensive as I can care less where people go and think it's great that everyone has options! I'm just being honest. It is what it is.

Just for another data point. I know 2 SWA guys that bailed for American and 2 more hoping to do so. Guys with recall rights and new hires have pretty vastly different outlooks on their future here (or what their cumulative career here will look like, I should say).

I heard of 2 guys that just left VX for united and we are not hiring until February so if any more leave we are going to be real thin on staffing.

I wonder if the real legacies shy away from people with a lot of time because the only ones who are leaving are the ones who have been here less than 2 years. I do realize that some get comfortable after a few years but when you look at the numbers it doesn't make sense to get comfortable.

A lot to be said about being able to fly for a hometown airline. I have too much vested into the current job or else I would jump at the chance to work and be based in my hometown of Seattle.

Shameful to hear some are not appreciating the PAC NW.

Some live 2,200 miles from SEA and aren't too ecstatic at the possibility of the only east coast domicile closing.
