Alaska Air Hiring

Since when does the DOJ care if you buy an airline to kill it?

They would care about inter-island service.
They do seem to object to B6's stated plan to kill off NK's ULCC model, and eliminate some ULCC destinations. People have rights, specifically the right to beat the crap out a gate agent when air travel frustrates them. Nobody else offers that kind of amenity.

The government allowed the big 4 mergers to happen, and they now control ~80-85% of the market. To now put the foot down on something like jetBlue/Spirit or Alaska/Hawaiian is just silly.

Updating App
Dumb question time!
1. To update my App, do I have to withdraw it then re-submit? Otherwise I don't see a way to update the application itself. I can upload an updated resume, but not edit the application itself.
2. The App seemed weirdly easy. I didn't have to enter any work history, etc. Am I missing something? Or do they just extract all that information from my Resume?

Have you had someone set up a meet and greet with a chief? That's really the way to get noticed and pushed through.

It means you might be very close to getting called. Or not. You might go to one of those events and they might tell you you're going to get a call, and then they'll get distracted by something (like a corporate merger) and the next communication you'll get is an email asking you to reapply.
