Expect an IT glitch or two...only paying customers get the best tech experience.

Good luck to all

Default Application question

Is the Application only one page long? Last question is if you've ever worked for Alaska or Horizon. The bottom of the page has next and previous tabs but i'm unable to click them. I just want to make sure I don't submit the App without everything completed (as I did on the last App window by accident).

I drove to the local library to complete my app on a MS Windows based PC and had few issues. When I tried on a MAC, it was ugly.

the application states it is best to use IE (Windows). I switched off my Mac to our Windows Computer as well. the only issue I saw was the format of my Resume would not remain intact. Other than that I had no issues with the entire app.

From today's ALPA FastRead...

ALASKA AIRLINES OPEN HOUSE REGISTRATION INFORMATION

On April 22, Alaska Airlines—working with Alaska's ALPA leadership and Membership Committee—will hold an open house at the Museum of Flight in Seattle for ALPA pilots interested in working for Alaska. During the open house, pilots will participate in informal, one-on-one meetings with Alaska Airlines' recruiting team. A limited number of pilots from the open house will then be invited to participate in formal interviews April 23–24.

Registration for the event will open next week. To be considered for one of the 125 slots available for April's open house, you must first apply to Alaska Airlines during its pilot application window, open now through March 18. Registration for the Alaska Airlines Open House then will be open March 19–25 to give all interested ALPA pilots a chance to submit resumes. Please note that this event is not first-come, first-served. All pilots who register during the open house registration window will be considered for one of the approximately 125 slots or for the open house wait list.

Questions about this event? Contact [email protected].

Now that'd be cool to attend! But...I'm not an ALPA member and not currently a commercial pilot (military). Next time!

I had a similar experience. I used a work computer (funny, right?!) to complete the AS application. My only concern was my copy and paste of my resume. The formatting was all over the place. It look like a baboon had typed up my resume. I tried several times to make it look correct but nothing worked. I finally left it as is and "hope" that it formats properly when they download the file.

Other than this small issue, it was pretty painless. Wish me luck!

I filled it out on my Mac during the last window, and had the messed up resume. I also did not include a cover letter. They still hired me.
