I'm just saying that nobody should spend their life slaving away at a job they hate. Life is too short for that.

Should definitely help, they have quite a presence there! Wear a suit and go 2 days if you can. If that doesn't work try to see if they have a shift change mid-day and if so, go back. Otherwise don't wait in line again.

Is it best to attend the career forum on Friday or will you still be able to speak with the recruiters on Saturday?

Career forum would be a nice addition but Saturday and Sunday are the only days to give a resume to and speak directly with recruiters.

I could be wrong. In the past that day was a career forum where they would have little panels of people like chief pilots answering questions for a room of people and talking about hiring etc. Perhaps the person you spoke with misunderstood because you can ask the panels questions during these forums but it's not a career fair portion. Then the weekend was the days the airlines would have booths set up and take/critique your resume, etc. I just looked through the schedule and it's a bit hard to tell from it but it appears to be the same way as the previous years. If you're really interested in Alaska, I would do everything you can to be there on Saturday or Sunday in case friday isn't a day you can talk with them.
