You'd think they would try everything in their hands to retain pilots that they have

I think that jetBlue CEO (COO?) on the investor call was correct in their Q&A about pilots. He basically said that the industry is fundamentally changing and he thinks that pilot pay/compensation will get aligned up for all carriers.

Love rumors, thats the 5th time I've heard this rumor and those numbers have gone up every time. Waiting for class of 50 and 5 showed up next.

It was supposed to be 30 not 40.

It’s funny that you think management reads replies to their emails from the pilots…

it’s also funny that based off the 20-30 replies on alyeska that say people sent “my mec speaks for me” that a large percentage sent an email like that. I’d be willing to be less than 1 percent reply to those emails with that. The same 20-30 people constantly reply on that forum.. that’s like 3000 pilots that never say anything at all

Its all optics......I hope they finally start to realize that the phrase "My MEC Speaks For Me" isn't a computerized automatic reply.

It's also funny to me that by replying to emails with "My MEC speaks for me" those people are, in fact, not letting the MEC speak for them.

You know what will really show this company what's what though? Getting ALPA to spend our dues 3D printing a bunch of orange-colored plastic crap to hang our headsets on (who knew that was a problem that needed fixing!). That'll teach management a lesson they'll never forget!

Where did it say the union was going to spend our dues on this? I didn't see that anywhere. I saw I bunch people offering to pay the guy directly.

All I saw on that other thread was people volunteering to make the orange stuff on their own dime. Didn't see anyone ask the union to spend a dime on it. On another note, I don't know anyone who thinks they can teach management anything. If they were capable of receiving instruction our operation wouldn't be in the mess it is right now.

If the message “my MEC speaks for me” isn’t heard by management when you have the largest picket in ALPA history, perfectly coordinated, with incredible discipline, I’m not sure it can be heard.

Everything this management team does and says, from Care Bears and cowbells to listening sessions and staffing changes… “recruitment and retention” strategy to social justice paint jobs….. it’s all…. ALL of it…. performance art masquerading as airline management.

in order to hear a message you must first be compelled to listen and then you have to actually listen.

They have yet to even be compelled…. But hopefully… that day of reckoning is coming.
