ha yeah definitely a good point there. Thanks for the advice y’all!

Have you opted in to the Aviate flow or are you in any way involved in Aviate besides simply flying for an Aviate regional? If so, you might be forced into staying if you want to have a chance at United. Once you're in the Aviate program, if you withdraw you're essentially guaranteed to never get a job at United.

I'm not trying to scare you or anything, I just want you to be aware of that so you don't make a decision you could possibly regret later. If you're not part of Aviate, then I definitely think the above advice is worth pursuing. Last time I was at TK (the flight training center) I met a handful of former Spirit pilots and maybe four or five former Alaska pilots, so I think going to F9 would probably be a wise move.

I am opted in. After they announced aviate there’s been almost no people flowing to UA. Pretty sure united has realized the aviate carriers are so understaffed that pulling people from said carrier would only cripple their ability to fly their branded metal even more. I don’t when they’re going to start pulling people from the flow. I also don’t think if you leave the aviate flow you go on a “do not hire” list.

The only reason I bring it up is because I'm an Aviate coach. We were told that flows will start going once all the qualified pilots already in Aviate are transitioned to United.

And I just want to be clear, I'm not advocating you stay and wait for the flow, I just want to make sure you don't end up screwing yourself if you do want to end up at United down the road. Either way, good luck!

121 lines for June Boeing in LA? Staffing problem solved.

April - 132
May - 125
June - 121

Seattle lines

April - 403
May - 416
June - 381

Lotta cuts to flying, loss of revenue and profit, but don’t worry we somehow have so much leverage, they are shaking at the knees and cut flying + put half of the base on reserve.

If you think that a loss of revenue is not putting pressure on the executives at this company,

Then you're not nearly as smart as you think you are.

Yup. Heads are rolling. Lets see, JL. Anyone else? Nope.

So much pressure, they can't wait to get back to the NMB sessions - which by the way, THEY filed for in the first place.

You've mentioned this a few times now. What's the significance of the company filing for NMB?

I will attempt to put some simple math at your adjectives. That looks like the 5% pull back that they advertised in all their investor calls. They are calling for 7-9% margin this year. I’ll call summer the most profitable so throw a 15% margin at it. So on the conservative side it’s a .0625% loss of profit per month they operate at less then peak capacity. (.05 x .15) / (12) x 100. Even less loss obviously when you move the margin down. That’s an easy investment for the air group to avoid bad press. Feel free to check my math I went to public school.
