Again, this was SWA, not AS, so it's not an "IT glitch".

Honestly, I think people should be free to do whatever they want in this country as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else. Perhaps you have a different philosophy?

No, it's because they don't let me save it, and instead rub it in my face every single time. They save everything else in my profile, why not that? You know as well as I do why... somebody in HQ thinks it's good woke virtue signalling. It's waaaaay more common to change your last name than your gender, but somehow you're allowed to save your last name

Precisely. If I want to change or maintain my gender identity, why should SWA or anyone else care? Why should they force me to pigeonhole myself? What business is it of any company what my gender is? Or what it is today if that’s different than how I identified yesterday? Or if I am a Miss, Mrs, Ms, Mr., or non binary. I’m looking to take an airplane flight when I buy a ticket, not to screw someone or be screwed by them.

Ricks right though. All this gender and pronoun crap is literally less than .1% of the population.. but corporations push it and gloat about their progressive new policies as if they were 99.9% of the population. It’s all smoke and mirrors. Honestly though, if you’re not mentally stable to know your actual gender and you refer to yourself as a
”they” it’s pretty scare you have a job as a crewmember.
pretty sure someone would have a problem with my mental fitness to fly if I should up to work and when I briefed everyone I said “first and foremost, I identify as a gender queer tree frog and my pronouns are they/them.” If they didn’t, I’m sure there would be confusion some point about a large amount of tree frogs on board.

Gen Zers, Millenials, et al, are all grown up now, and are the new demographics that are increasingly not only driving corporate profitability, but are also taking leadership roles, and hence influencing the agendas of the companies themselves. (Meanwhile, us Boomers, once their key demographic, are starting to fade into the sunset).
The younger generation, not only care about a company providing good products, services at great prices; they also care about that company's words and deeds relating to the environment, as well as social justice issues. Look up Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
A company who is hostile or indifferent to the idea of D&I, runs the risk of their reputation being tarnished, and their profits taking a hit, through the targeted and effective shaming of them on social media by this tech savvy generation; and what do corporations ultimately care about?.... Reputation and PROFITS!
So, like it or not, that is the direction that corporations are moving because they have read the tea leaves, and have decided that it is in their long-term interest to do so.
