Predictable play by the company, hopefully the union communication guys are out ahead of this crap from the company and making it clear why these flights are canceling.
Id expect a large Airbus displacement bid to appear later today with no SFO base, my guess is, as has been mentioned, it’s being saved for today.

Agreee. This afternoon is probably beat into submission and kill the unity/morale generated at the picket day at Angle Lake.

We don’t but Alaska does a good job of making sure the other workgroups think their problems are based on “pilot greed.” My favorite is the gate agent who on a company page commented that we are all “greedy bastages ” lol.
you’re right, legal action for sure, but Alaska seems to think they can skirt around RLA rules that aren’t convenient for them.
legally nothing they can do, public and company perception is their goal

”Do the Right Thing” …. (When convenient.)
Check out all the comments on their FB page from customers. Not sure they’re buying the whole “We care a lot.” line.

I support the Alaska pilots 100%. I hope you get a good contract.
In the "company misinformation" department, one of the local Portland papers reported that the average captain at Alaska makes $341,000 per year. I can't believe that this is anywhere close to average. Even a super-senior check airman trolling premium pay would have to work his/her tail off to get anywhere near this figure. An example of "management math"?

If the CO is saying average CA is 340k a year, and it is clearly not, your NC should use it as leverage. ALPA counters in section 6 with a compensation section that would in fact get the average CA pay to 340k a year.
Company will say no that’s too much. ALPA says but you are already at that number allegedly so if you were lying before, and what is the real average?

Now is why that matters. It’s simply a brick in the wall. The picket yesterday was another brick. The no 200% was another. This fort will not build itself. Keep up the great work!

If you count 401k DC and bonuses it might not be far off. In fairness, almost nobody outside of major airlines gets 15% DC.
Of course by the same metric the other legacies make a good bit more...
