How do you like Alaska so far? Hahahah
I am a new hired here and all this secretive information everyone passes back and forth isn't very helpful for us not in the know. Posting links and or references would go a long way, I didn't even know about the podcast that was just mentioned so now I am going to listen to it.
Simply complaining about something is of no help.

For all those applying: Here’s a little bit of info….. take it for what it’s worth.
One of the best guys, true professionals I’ve ever met was a CP in Seattle and when he had the audacity to even so much as question decisions from management he was first demoted and then fired back to the line. He is now on the MEC.
LAX can’t seem to keep a BCP for hardly any more than a year before they punch out back to to line, because weve got a lot of really great professionals in LAX that apparently, even with all the perks that job entails, they aren’t willing to sell their soul, and find that being the lap dog of our SEA Flight Ops management is just that unpalatable.
Lotta good here at Alaska…. the further you get out into the branches the better. Most of the rot is at ground level. Think “regional management” philosophy circa 1998

Alaska Air warns on impact of higher fuel costs
Alaska Air Group (NYSE:ALK) warned that fuel prices have been volatile as a result of the conflict in Europe and Russia's ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
Due to the recent developments, the airline company said it now expects Q1 economic fuel cost to be $2.60 to $2.65 per gallon vs. a prior expectation of $2.45 to $2.50 per gallon.
"Given the sharp rise in fuel costs, we have slightly moderated our capacity outlook for the year, and now expect capacity to be down three percent to five percent in the first half of the year. We continue to plan for a return to 100% of pre-COVID capacity by summer followed by growth in the second half of the year, and will continue to prudently adjust capacity as necessary in response to the evolving fuel environment."

Not sure. Just a guess, if they want to hire as many as they said they want then the app window may as well be left open all the time. The big 3 use Airlineapps or Pilotcredentials and they're pretty much constantly open. I don't even know why we do windows. Just leave the links open and let the apps come in?
