The hilarious part is we’re all rallying for this massive picket event and yet nobody knows the crap sandwich our NC is pushing for us. There’s people on this board who know what I’m talking about and I’ve been extremely vocal about what we should have as far as Section 25 goes and yet we’ve all been oblivious to what’s being pushed for us… so ya see ya on 4/1 NOT! If you want more info PM and I’ll happily take your call or message and explain.

Says the company man. How much are they paying you to sew some doubt among the group?

The same garbage amount and minimal time off as you. Guess you don’t remember flying with me and all the the things we had to talk about that was wrong with working for this place.

Sure there's a lot of stuff wrong with the status quo. But you're picking the wrong battle to make it right. If you're going to no-show a picketing event based on speculation of what the NC is asking for, I don't see how that results in getting anywhere closer to your goals.

If the TA is crap, whip some no votes and vote it down. But until that point, we're all in this together.

And if we did fly together, I'm sure you were cool. But damn, I strongly urge you to reconsider your game plan. And definitely don't spread unsubstantiated rumors to give everyone second thoughts. Not cool.

Have you read the openers? Where’s our updated proposal based on 2022 economics? Why are we asking for reserve days off that aren’t even as good as what we had at VX? Why in Gods name are we asking for this disaster of average day pay vs Min calendar day pay? I went straight to the source for that info and the answers were scary, the fact that everyone I’ve flown with was unaware and myself included considering the info has been out there for two years is shocking. If it wasn’t for a recent podcast I would have been completely unaware myself, I don’t want to give up all that I have here but it’s obvious to me that my time is better spent trying to move on. I love our crews and like working for this place a lot I just want it to be better like everyone else. If we’re not going to ask for that then what’s the point of staying?

I get it. The 2019 openers are lackluster to say the least. But, we've been advocating for our proposal to be updated. You should add your voice. Hey, you know who's going to be at the picketing event? The MEC. Talk to them in person. If they're undershooting, now's the time to add your voice to the chorus. If everyone who is dissatisfied with the negotiations doesn't speak up, all they're left with are the OTZ's telling them they're perfectly "happy hustlin' for that dolla."

We need more p*ssed off people engaged with our union. Not less. I understand your frustration. But now's the time to lean in, not withdraw.
And if they lay a big turd of a TA at our feet, then we get rid of all of them and start again.

I am a new hired here and all this secretive information everyone passes back and forth isn't very helpful for us not in the know. Posting links and or references would go a long way, I didn't even know about the podcast that was just mentioned so now I am going to listen to it.

Simply complaining about something is of no help.

Whether you like our openers or not…. Whether you like the eventual TA or not….. I can 💯 guarantee you that the most efficient way to not get ANYTHING you’d like to see is to skip the picket.

I am not happy about what’s being proposed and currently negotiated. Because of that I have contacted and talked to my reps, NC, SPC, and MEC. I have talked to many people that feel like me and you. But after talking to all those Union reps, many that I know personally. I have realized most people are to lazy to take the time to contact any or all the Union reps. They have not received significant feed back one way or the other from pilots, and straight from their mouths they want you to reach out and express your opinions. I have decided I will not sit by and accept what I don’t agree with. I have been engaged, I have volunteered to work the picketing event. The Union is me and you, the reps work for us. Posting here, not contacting reps directly, then skipping the picketing event makes you part of the problem not the solution. I hope you go, if you’re SFO based I really hope you go, after the 12% turn out on the last rep vote we need that base to step their game up. Being quiet, not participating in Union events, not communicating doesn’t give you the right to complain. Man up step or shut up.
