While they are adding Airbus now, the long term plan is to close Bus SFO, open Boeing SFO, and consolidate the Bus base to a single one at LAX. Over time that will shrink (reduce). For the time being, the Bus fleet is "growing" but it will reduce again after next year's Summer/Fall.

I see both Airbus CA and FO going junior. It's basically a dying fleet, with the exception of present time to Sept 1, 2021. IMO if you want LAX I'd bid LA Boeing as #1 then LA Airbus as #2.
Thanks for the response. All is greatly appreciated!

I know a guy who interviewed on the 20th. Same 3 emails for me. At this point I’m not too hopeful.

Did you apply as currently available or with a future availability date? It’s reading into some things, but it sounds they’re not doing a real long lead turn between interviews and availability.

Mine just changed to “under review”. I guess that’s news

I was told by an employee that they will open the hiring window up again in September. Not sure of any specifics atm.

In case I get that far in the process, is there a consensus on who's good for Alaska Airlines interview prep?

ATC at Boeing Field. Many, many pilots have used this service over the years. I have used them twice to get both of my airline jobs. The most important resource they have is the list of latest interview questions being asked.

I also used Rainier Flight Service at the Renton Airport. It’s owned and operated by Alaska pilots and would be a good option for interview prep.

Just look on line for the interview gouge, I wouldn’t be spending hundreds of dollars for a formal prep service to interview at Alaska. There will be a group phase and likely a two on one phase with the types of questions you’d expect at any airline interview.

Did the guy you know put in during the window in July? Trying to gauge our chances. If they’re opening another window in September it doesn’t sound great for getting an invite before the next round.
