Well that’s what it has boiled down to. Cases and hospitalizations speak for themselves from ~April compared to present August time. Wouldn’t have to be this way if it wasn’t for the anti-jab crowd.

Between seeing FO’s say they’re going backwards onto reserve after the company announces 145 upgrades to start the new year then on to arguing that everyone needs a vax to bids being cancelled… it’s amazing this pilot group can get a single airplane off the ground with how whiny y’all sound. The worst part about this EIL recall is possibly having to share a cockpit with a bunch of eeyores.

It’s not imaginary. It’s my percentage seniority in base. It’s getting worse. Been trending that way all summer.
One of the guys in my class who is jr to me tried long call because the lines we get are so awful.
I wish I was just whining and making it all up.

Here we go. Post were someone says AS isn’t a place for commuters in 3, 2, 1…
After just a few years it’s insanely obvious why things have gotten so bad.

the problem is the delta variant broke through. The vaccine was never a vaccine but a flu shot. Now people will have to get boosters. How long will that go on? All while the mortality rate decreases to flu levels.
simply we have to admit it's not controllable and it's the flu. I dont see that happening until every pennie is squeezed from the Gov to support non covid related agendas.
covid (flame) on...

Dude we can’t help you if you thought you were going to enjoy an elevated base/seat seniority while folks senior to you were out on leave and have been trickling back. If you didn’t think this was going to happen I don’t know what to tell you. Everyone in my newhire class had this happen to them, the only difference is they knew it wasn’t going to last forever.

People didn’t want to spend a second summer locked inside anymore… vaccine or not there was going to be elevated numbers that’s what you’re seeing.

I didn’t ask for your help but that falls right into your little template of being condescending and disingenuous all at once.
Steer right around the fact that AS is one of the worst places to be a commuter and you made that as a recommendation?
A Q as your avitar? Let me guess you grew up in the PNW and don’t care how bad things get here as long as you have a lower middle class existence near Seattle because you live your childhood dream of working for AS.
Do they give you Kool Aid drinkers a template for belittling your coworkers when they bring up legitimate concerns?
There were over 400 lines 2 years ago and there’s barely 300 now in Seattle. Mostly because our trips are going to regional airlines. That’s my concern.
But hey make it about EILs and how I don’t understand how seniority works because you are the smartest guy in the room.
