I can assure you that not only could I pay your taxes but my own as well and then buy a few luxury vehicles for fun before investing a large amount of money. Unlike you I do nor need to list my assets, net worth, or alternate income sources on an anonymous forum page.

I'm back out of commenting on this thread unless addressed specifically, but I just wanted to say that the posts like this sure give off a weird vibe from the outside.
I guess your right, I was kinda hoping he was a Captain though making 400k, and not an 1st year FO. Then it is funny, because if he was a Captain making 400k he still couldn’t pay this “losers”tax bill. Last year outside of aviation as I made slightly more the 2x what I did in aviation.

Assure a way... I know your lying and you know your lying... Right... and next year with the sale of the house 1.4 plus $400 from AK and at least another $300-$500... you could pay that tax burden too. Yeah because you have none list. That’s why you are so angry about the AS contract, dude you are flat broke and need ever penny 😂. You haven’t figured out this is America and you are free to succeed, all you need is some work ethic. All you know how to do is cry because BT doesn’t pay you enough for what an awesome pilot you are.

About a month ago I was out Dukes in HNL having dinner with a new Fo and I asked him how things were going and of course who do you really like to fly with and who do you not. Within seconds he looks at me and says his favorite CA is without a doubt my friend the Eagle. I know a few of you on here outside of the anonymous, there is one I consider my brother. I little brash for me on here but I know your heart. Best wishes my friend... and Maythe4th be with you. You never jumped in when my boat was full of water. If you are a new FO write this down, take it to the bank: No matter what he posts on here, I guarantee “no one has your back like the eagle”! See you the 17th.

How embarrassing for all you Alaska guys/gals.

OTZ and others in this thread, you should be ashamed of yourseves. Your comments and behavior is an embarrassment to the profession. I know for a fact that Alaska holds you to a much higher standard than what you’re displaying.

So, ex-VXers, instead of bad mouthing the mighty 737 you might use the energy getting ready for bidding over or upgrading. The Bus is a dead man walking at AS.

On the other hand you might just hold on. When the MD finally went away, the training department wasn't able to handle the transition and the last MD pilot finally started training in March when the last MD flight was the previous October. Talk about having the holidays off! On guarantee no less.
Not exactly true. I spent the last two weeks of August flying MD-80's down to Victorville. The last official transition class started at the end of December. It's possible that a handful of stragglers lasted all the way until March but I don't think it was very many.

But your main point is true. Lots of time off. It was great...except you had to put up with two years of deteriorating schedules to get your free vacation.

It’s horrible and embarrassing reading this latest round. Some of them are like that on the line too. Not all mind you. But empathy sure seems lost on them.

I tried to ride a retiring fleet into the ground once in the hopes of getting paid time off. Like you said a year of crap schedules, last revenue flight on a Fri, and they had ALL of the holdouts in class the next Mon. They kept a few old timers (age 64) on the payroll to do repo flights.

My buddy at UPS did get about a year off with pay after the DC-8 retired, but that was special circumstances.

The guy seems like a self centered egotistical deutsche bag with a chip on his shoulder. Glad we all know what the guy makes and his property values after reading this thread. guy seems like a man child. But oh yeah I’m sure he’s “got everyone’s back”.
