I see, that makes sense. Thanks

Default First Year gross/ net monthly

Could someone currently at Alaska comment on what the new first year monthly gross is , and net after some common deductions? Just looking for some realistic numbers through training and the rest of first year for planning. Thanks!

79 x 87 = 6,873. That's gross.

6,873 x 0.7 = 4,811. Add per diem, and you're looking at somewhere around 5,000 net.

Thank you for the reply, hourly rate will go to 89.61 in April Correct? I assume health insurance is reasonable? Any idea on the family plan costs? Are hotels paid during training?

Was it confirmed that Alaska cancelled their March classes? Or was it just the Jan 29 class?

Yeah, I think that's right. Health insurance is around 70 bucks per paycheck for me, but I don't know what it would be for additional family members. Not sure on the current status of the hotel policy.

Can you pick up any "open time" on top of the 79hrs? What is the maximum hours you can work per month? 88? Just trying to figure life as a first year FO living in expensive California!

You’re getting waaay ahead of yourself there... It’s only been what, literally, days?
Wait for the SLI, then we can talk.

Which fleet are you planning to join? Still different scheduling work rules.
