I'm not trying to put too much lipstick on the pig but its a contribution not a match; it'll bump up, a little or a little less, depending on the decision.

Sadly, for you guys it’s been that way for far too long. I bailed after my ~35% Kasher cut and horrible QoL. I couldn’t take the lying, cheating, disengenuous management. But, that was predictable and expected. What was not was the weak pilots. I couldn’t take how weak the group was and still is. I couldn’t take the VSA while in negotiations or when people were furloughed on the street. Nowhere have I seen such weak, passive, and enabling pilots.

Years ago, Northwest was known as the cobra airline because they struck at everything. Alaska should be known as the Card Table Airline; because, it folds like a cheap card table. Heck, I don’t even know if that’s true. I’ve never even seen you guys standup for anything.

You have to hand it to your HR. They did an excellent job accepting only those willing to settle for less in exchange for being in the PNW @ Alaska. They also did an excellent job weeding-out militant types or anyone with a back bone.

There’s a reason you’re 5th or lower, not even an also-ran, closer to the bottom, as opposed to Industry leading, Why? You did it to yourselves.

As mentioned above it's a straight contribution, not a match. It does not count toward your annual limit that you can personally contribute.

16% seems to the be the industry average. We should get an increase with this arbitration award.

For somebody who has moved on from AS it is pretty classless of you to return to an Alaska forum to lecture, berate, chastise and humiliate the Alaska pilot group over perceived negotiating weaknesses that existed while you were here. While some of your points are valid, now is not the time to spew your venom at a pilot group that A: You were once apart of and B: Put a very solid foot forward in the current negotiating cycle who's outcome is to be decided by a third party. You've moved on, this is no longer your fight.

GearBoy is free & welcome to say whatever he wants. You don't have to be a part of a particular pilot group in order to have an opinion.

GearBoy was smart and got out when he could. He still speaks the truth.

This pilot group is weak. We always vote for the first TA & give up a bunch of stuff to management for a few extra pennies, which they fight us tooth & nail for every single time.

I hold out hope that the demographic of this pilot group is changing and that we'll vote no on crappy TAs in the future. Better yet, I'm hoping that we'll have an MEC that won't even recommend a sub-par TA.

With as many years as I personally have invested here, I'm not going anywhere. This pilot group needs to wake up & fight for a good contract.

Don't believe everything the company tries to sell you... and Brad is not your buddy. Who do you think gives Ben his marching orders?

Just go back and watch those two videos again.

Strong second to that emotion....The goodies we gave them in "Contract 200" are showing up everyday....2020 will tell whether we have rid ourselves once and for all of the Lake Washington Gig Harbor yes men....can be hopeful

You can be assured that I am not fooled by management's tactics nor do I buy into their weak arguments as to why we should lag our competitors for X, Y or Z reasons. The demographic of this group is changing, especially with the addition of the VX pilot group. If we were so weak we would have never agreed to arbitration in the first place and would have likely already caved to their demands. We have stood our ground and have taken this process as far as it can legally go. This pilot group is no longer weak and ineffective as it might have been in years past.

I hope you are right. We won't truly know though until the next Section 6 negotiations are in full swing.

Hit the nail on the head, GearBoy. One thing all AS pilots should understand is that progressive discipline is a lip service joke at Angle Lake.

I always hoped that as the "92%" guys retired the "Kasherstrated" demographic would eventually become the voting majority. That was the very reason we changed from MEC to Membership Ratification of contracts.

AS pilots more than deserve pay/benefits parity with the other major airlines. Hopefully the arbitrator will finally get that.
