There are thousands of regional CAs and FOs who are applying anywhere and everywhere and will go to the first airline that calls them.
UAL has stopped making calls until the late fall or early winter due to lack of training resources, DAL is being very picky, USAir is only taking captains, AA is only taking Military or flow through from Eagle.

Going to hire and additional 75 to 100 this year.,straight from the chief pilot. Math doesn't add up with that many hires and no planes. One of two things; we are getting airplanes this year or they are getting many more PRIA's then they expected.

Huh? That many hires and no planes? Let's do some figures:
56 aircraft on property now, with 65 scheduled on property by the end of the year.
16.5 crews per aircraft (65 x 16.5) = 1072 pilots. We have roughy 980-1000 pilots in the hopper now. So need roughly 70 more. Factor in the 10 or so retirements and attrition (if any) and average about 10 pilots per class until the end of the year. Sounds about right?

Not even remotely right.
We have 53 airplanes right now. We have 616 pilots on the April seniority list. That equates to about 12 pilots per airplane.
We will take 0 deliveries in 2014, 5 in 2015 and 5 in 2016.
The hiring they are doing now is for attrition, plain and simple. American/USAir, Delta, jetBlue, and others are hiring now. We're going to lose pilots to these carriers due to our lack of competitive pay rates and work rules.
Were you thinking of another airline or something?
