That won't happen at HQ. Our HR department is a kingdom unto itself, and not exactly friendly to out of the box tactics. Best strategy is to get one of our pilots to introduce you to a base CP in SFO, LAX or JFK. They can be most influentual. Going to HQ unannounced will not be in your best interests. Best of luck!

Thanks for the reply Fred, I appreciate it.

I thought it would be a long shot and certainly not an effective strategy at my previous airlines (in Asia).

But as a newbie to aviation in this country, I am kind of lost as to how things work as far as obtaining an airline job. I have applied online and received a confirmation but I kinda feel like I should be doing more to move things along.

I dont know any Virgin pilots but I would love to get introduced to someone who could answer some questions and provide some guidance.

How would I go about this?

Thanks again,

DB

Oicur, I would reach out to any VX pilot you see. Most would be willing to spend a few minutes and speak with you. It might take some time to get a recommendation, but it would be a start. Another good way is to buy a ticket on us or jumpseat and stop by the flight deck.

You may want to try to PM Shy as well. He has a lot more faith than I in this place, is a good dude and would be a great advocate.

Cheers and good luck

If only your moniker were an accurate reflection of your posting habits, you

wouldn't have this problem.

I may be showing my age here, but I always thought his moniker was from Super Mario Bros 2.
