It sounds like its time to begin taking a look at the Alaska interview gouge in addition to VX. It is a shame about the noose - correction: necktie. What a horrendously outdated tradition. That's one very small thing from SRB I really appreciated: the idea that you hire the person, not how well their attire assimilates into the borg.
Of course I will go back and get in line and put on a necktie (when in public view) once required to do so, but for now, those grey shirts top button undone: most comfortable uniform ever.

I know from previous threads you are big on the traditional uniform. SRB might be outdated now, but walk around the business districts on the west coast (Seattle, SF, LA) Suits and ties, for everyday wear are outdated as well. Rarely do you see suits and ties anymore.
I don't expect AS management to switch to the VX style of uniform. But it definitely was the most
Comfortable uniform ever as the previous post mentioned. I can look professional without a tie.

Interviews, 8/3
There were 10 interviewees on 8/3. 8 out of 10 wore suits and ties. The others were told not to worry too much since it was new, and at least one of them was hired, not sure about the other. The interview panel was made up of half Alaska and half Virgin America. At least 6 made it through. I don't know about the rest. The interviewees were a mix of 135 Charter, 121 Regional, and 121 LCC. The interview was as published previously. Mostly HR stuff and TMAAT stuff. They tried to make you feel comfortable, and they appeared to want to hire everybody there. They said they were hiring for 8/21 and 9/20, and would disclose which date was awarded tomorrow, but that they had just decided on at least 5 total classes through the end of the year, so more interviews to come. I did get the job. My stats:
7800 tt
760 TPIC, Part 135 & 91
3100 121 Jet SIC
Engineering undergrad
Masters degree
Not sure of the diversity of experience among the interviewees, but they appeared to be mostly higher time folks with at least some traces of grey hair, not that hair color mattered, just an observation.
Hope this is helpful. Good luck to anybody applying. This seems like a great time to be at VX/Alaska
