Reserve is 4 on 3 off. You can bid am, mid, pm, and long call. I have a line for July, most of my class has a line for July. We only bid reserve for June so essentially we were on reserve for a month.

Again this information is only correct for someone based in San Francisco hired at the beggining of the hiring wave. We've now hired around 80 (best guess) of our 125 for the year. So if you're in that last quarter or third, expect to be on reserve for a while. Reserve is miserable here. The rules are worse than most regionals.

If you're in JFK expect a 5 on 3 off schedule for at least 2 of work blocks in a month. There is no long call. Also, reserve there is well over a year.. there are still people from the the 2016 hiring wave who are on reserve and not getting off anytime soon.

LAX is also slow moving to get a line but not as slow as JFK. Expect to be on reserve there for 7/8 months past hiring date.

Sorry, typing with two kids you tend to rush through. That's 100% correct, I was speaking from being SFO based.

Thats good news, becuase 3 hours from Sactown would be pushing it trying to get over the bridge.

No idea how many in class. There were two dates talked about, the 10th and the 26th. No mention of numbers. There were 13 in the interview group, I think 5 or 6 got the call.

ohh come on, thats not true. I came from one of the "better" regionals, one extra day off and no ready reserve meant the world to me when I started here. I think a more accurate assessment would be, reserve is subpar to MOST major airlines but better than a regional. I guess a lot has changed in the last two years though.
