A) If what matters is holding JFK, some classes it goes junior and someone from the west coast is forced to it. Other classes it goes all LAX or SFO. It all depends on where the vacancies are in a bid. They've been new bids every month and there's always JFK slots awarded. So there's a reasonable chance it'll be your initial new hire award, or you'll get it within a few months.

B) If you live local, it's a good base to be on reserve. Trips aren't as diverse and there's no Hawaii flying.

All the communication on the JFK base study is only for the inflight (flight attendant) side for the ~35 or so based in New York.

I got the PQ on 4/14, returned it on 4/16, and got a reply on 4/24 saying "thanks"...and that was the last thing I heard.

What is the reserve schedules looking like?

How long on reserve before a new guy can hold a line?
