Virgin America Latest and Greatest
#2571
So a couple days ago, I asked about applying before reaching the 3000 hour threshold. I decided to at least create a profile and fill out as much as I could while I continue gaining flight hours. To my surprise, I was actually able to complete the entire application without being kicked out for being under the 3000TT mark. Usually (when comparing other applications for different airlines) I can return to an application and amend it as necessary, so I kept that in mind as I completed the app. After filling out the Virgin America Application, it sent me to a quick questionnaire. One of the questions: Do you have 3000 hours total time? I said no and continued forward. I probably shouldn't have continued past that point because it pretty much said "You do not meet the minimums for this position." Now, I can't delete the application or fill out a new one I'm worried that this will prevent me from being able to apply once I DO meet the 3000TT requirement. Any thought/ideas? This is what I get for being too eager haha

Seniority
Lately seniority has been decided based on your birth *day*. This has worked out for a number of classes, enough to say it's probably not a coincidence.
If you were born on the first of a month you'll be senior, or if its last day of a month you be junior. So a Dec 1st bday will be #1, July 17th will be mid seniority, and a Aug 30 will be the plug.
That's the current method as far as I can tell, caveat being it could have changed after Alaska took over.

Don't guess. That's why 80% of this forum is rumor, innuendo and horsesh!t. Your telling this guy it's not your flight time, it's you. You don't know anything of the sort.
