I did the 4/14 assessment. Got the 'Thank you email'. No rings on my phone yet. Anyone else in the same boat?

Same boat. Heard the HR lady doing the calls just came back from vacation.

Hello all,

This thread has been incredibly resourceful but I have a question that I believe has not been brought up (I apologize if it has and I missed it). Virgin America appears to be an incredible place to work. I am currently a regional FO and looking to make a move to a fantastic company such as this. Earlier this year, I was invited to interview and then offered a job at another LCC. After careful consideration, I turned down the offer and decided to wait for the right opportunity. I'm inching closer to Virgin's 3,000 hour minimums (currently at 2800) and I was curious as to whether or not I should apply during the next hiring window, regardless of whether or not I've reached the 3,000 hour mark. My current position on the matter is to wait until minimums are met. However, I've had close friends (including a couple at Virgin) insist that I apply during the next hiring window regardless. I would love to hear some additional input from you all. In the meantime, I'm picking up open time and swapping into high-block trips to try to reach 3,000 by the end of July.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Unless it's changed, if you don't have 3,000, it won't let you actually apply fully. You won't get assessment test to move on.

I guess that answers that perfectly! Haha thank you! I haven't made an attempt before since I was focusing on meeting the minimums so this is good to know.

Try. Airlines like persistence, so if you can apply in the next window, do so. If not go to a job fair and talk to them. Then if you have to wait for the next window they'll know you're seriously interested.

It's not all about someone that's dying to work somewhere, but if you've got two equally qualified people and one has shown interest, they'll get an invite first.

New to the thread, but have been watching to see if callouts have taken place yet. Questionnaire sent back and confirmed on 4/24. Just wondering if anyone has heard anything yet.
