Are you considering leaving UA for Virgin? Just reading though some of your previous posts looks like your at United.

Some find crashpads, some do hotels. The red roof inn is the cheapest within walking distance to HQ. I've heard of some doing AirBnb. Burlingame is a nice place but that leads to high real estate costs.

Don't be the guy emailing about where his hotel info is the day before class starts.

Thanks. Hopefully we hear back soon. I've completed phone interview with Another LCC and have in person interview Wednesday. Was hoping to have head back from Virgin before I accept job offer.

No, I'm happy at United. A buddy of mine was hired at VX recently.

Re: lodging. When I went through VX offered a discounted rate to stay at a hotel on Moffett field in the south bay. It sounded like kind of a neat experience to stay on a base but I would not be a fan of the drive. Half Moon Bay is 30 minutes drive and some folks have had luck with less expensive lodging there. Most in my class stayed closer to Burlingame.

The upside to the lodging issue at the moment is that the single VX sim near SFO is running at capacity. A friend of mine who just started reported that many new hires are sent to MIA for sim where they receive hotel & per diem. That would mean 2 weeks for indoc and then things are covered. But there's no guarantee of MIA.

Has anyone received an interview call lately? I filled the questionnaire out about 2 weeks ago.

I appreciate the info! I'll pass it along.

Do any of you have the latest on how many classes they are planning on having for the rest of the year? Summer only or are there classes scheduled for fall and winter?

Thx!

Last rumor I heard was that 60 had been hired out of the 200 they want to hire this year.

It's strange that there has been no word of interview calls these past few weeks.

I wish it was 200. Last email about hiring this year put the total at 121 new hires. Good luck
