What date did you get the offer if you don't mind me asking? Also swimming in the pool and trying to figure out how deeply I'm submerged.

Hoping to hear something for the fall. Good luck to everyone trying to get on.

I got the call 3rd week of June. I was told that they're expecting some classes in the fall. We'll see. Congrats on getting the call!

Cush said in the last empolyee call that pilot hiring would continue in February, but that cant be right. Everyone else (training, recruiting, etc.) has been just saying "fall". It's anyone's guess as to when that is. No interviews or classes going on at the moment.

thanks for the reply, still a year until I even meet the minimums. Would going to a job fair below minimums be worth it?

Oooo, thanks for your reply! I would buy you a coffee for your help, but I literally don't know you outside of this electronic prison screeen, haha.

One more thing, is there anything aside from having 2500 hours TT that will make one stand out?

Type ratings or aviation experience? Having a comprehensive volunteer record? Aviation degree?

Would starting out a master's degree help? (something that I would like to pursue)

Thanks!!

There are guys who have every box you mentioned (and more) checked and cannot get an interview. Others have the bare minimum and get a call. I think the best "trigger" is having someone on the inside pulling for you. Someone you know and have flown with. Even that is hit and miss. Hard to crack the code, especially when hiring is not in full swing.
Good luck!

Dont waste your time. The second you have the minimums go to the first one you can. Let them know you've been counting the days.
