VA pilot hopeful here, with a question about reserve at SFO. Without traffic, the drive from my house is 1:15, but it's not uncommon to see 1:45hrs according to google maps, depending on traffic. So, could I get away with standing reserve from my house? What is the 2 hours? Call to gate? Something else? Thanks!

Sure, why not? If anything with 1,000 TPIC they may think you'll bail to a legacy
Best advice would be to do as well as you can on that pre-visor exam. You can practice pre-employment cognitive/personality tests beforehand by searching on google. For the personality just be yourself and you should be answering consistently.

The way I understand it is a 2 hr callout to the airport and then theoretically :45 minutes to turn the plane. As long as your worst case scenario is 1:45 then you should be ok. You don't have to check in from the crew room, you can check in from the luggage claim area (arrivals at VX) on your phone by picking up the Wifi signal for VA (company ID and password, you'll get that once here) and sign/checkin on crewtrac.

Finished the previsor test, it wasn't easy but I got the "we will be contacting you about the next step in the process" outcome so I think I passed it. The personality-type questions are standard but the word problems are not easy. Good luck to everyone who got it and maybe we will all end up in the same interview or class soon.
Can anyone comment on how they normally contact you for an interview, phone or email? IS there flexibility in case i can't make their first offered interview date?
