But people saying its worse than regionals here are delusional. Unless they worked for a very very good regional.....If there is such a thing, Maybe Skywest? I worked for one of the worst regionals, and I am so happy to have left that place for here. Place needs a lot of work as far as compensation goes, but its nowhere near as bad as some say it is. Someone said this place was worse than Mesa....smh...I bet if a Mesa Captain was willing to switch places with him, he would say no.

Maybe 30% of the reserves at VX enjoy their QOL. The rest is the reason why you have pilots making statements about how bad it is. Reason why? Because they're living it and that gives them their opinion of what's considered bad. I'm pretty sure if they start flying you into your days off or working you 20+ hours in a day that you just might change your mind. Jan/Feb is a little different as reserves are usually fat and you don't see that kind of stuff. Summer is a different story.

Just a guess but, you finish flying to your legal max, but then you are placed on a deadhead to get back to base or deadhead to be in position for the next duty period.

My thoughts exactly. If one of the big 3 called, I can see why they left. But would have been nice to have 4 people there that knew what they were doing.
