Any input would be great, sorry if the question had been answered earlier. It appears the job fairs help, I'll have to check that method out soon.

Thanks again!
That's pretty much it. I don't think you'll hear anything if you aren't selected to move forward with. If you are then the next step would be a questionnaire sent via email.

Thanks for the quick response. I wish they'd send some kind of rejection or acceptance! But, I guess that's the way applications go nowadays.

I think job fairs are key, I'll have to start going to hound all carriers!

If they pull your file they'll score your previsor/assessment. If you fail you'll get the TBNT and try again in a year (which I think is ridiculous). If they pull your file and are not interested? Crickets and as Shy stated, if they pull your app and you pass the previsor then you'll get the questionnaire. Best bet is to catch them at a roadshow. I've heard that's been helping a few.

Starting the process at the wrong time can make it take forever. I first applied in Jan of '12 and took the test. My app never got pulled so I took the test again in Jan '13. Got the CP questions sometime in March, this was followed up by an email stating that they wanted to interview me. I never heard anything from VX for the rest of the year. In Feb of '14 I got an email asking me if I wanted to interview the following week. I did and that was about 6 week ago and again no communication from VX. The process for me occurred over a hiring freeze so your mileage may vary but the theme of no communication is consistent.

I completed the assessment back on 3/6, and still crickets. Hopefully no news is still good news in this case. Making the trek out to Vegas to meet with them. Anyone have any pointers on what to expect? Never been to a job fair before.

I know Virgin will be part of the job fair in Vegas on May 1st. According to the fapa website, the only people recruiters will speak with are 'premier members', which seems to be more or less paying nearly $400 just for a ticket to get a few minutes with a recruiter(obviously not including other costs incurred).

So my question is.... is this something that is worth the time and money? Or is this just kind of "well it was nice talking with you maybe one day we'll see you at Virgin" type of thing. I'm a regional guy making peanuts like everyone else and want to avoid dropping dough like this if it is needless. But if it truly is worth while I'd appreciate any info. Thanks in advance
Just my interpretation, but I took the "premier member" remark to indicate that there is an additional 'express lane' available to talk to the recruiters as well as the long line for the standard members. I have not confirmed this with FAPA...does anyone else know anything about this?

It's been a couple years now for me but, no news is good news for interviewees. When I interviewed those they went forward with did not hear anything until they emailed me to get drug tested. Those that did get through got a TBNT email within a week or so. It took several weeks to get the drug test email.

last I heard from the CP a few days ago, they're debating whether or not to have one class 3rd week of April. Other than that no plans on hiring until Fall... But that could change of course.
