The big planes are nice to look at, but you don't get many Wrangell landings in them.

Honestly I have great confidence in our MEC so I'm sure that when the time comes they'll do the best they can for us. We can tell them our thoughts, but other than that, it's out of our hands.

Honest question for those in the know: Per the announcement on TeamAAG about combining the fleets, how much ETOPS could we expect to do in the NB? Probably some, but less is my takeaway.
A 15 hour flight in a 787 is easier on you than a 737 transcon

It's fine if I'm doing a bunch in a row. If I'm mixing in SE Alaska then it feels reaaallllyyyyy looooooong.

Been hearing many rumors that AS will be doing a lot of changes to our HA routes in terms of utilization and this will lead to us having a significant increase in redeye.. right now, a large part of our flying is 1 leg over 1 leg back (sometimes with a DH to OGG).. and all day time flying..

Any thoughts on this? True that some 30% of all AS flying currently is redeye?

If your one of those capable of napping on demand that would help. I am not one of those... i cant even nap when im dogsh*t tired. Ill stick to my daytime one and done transcons. Different stroke i guess.

I've done both.. even before my time at HA, I did a lot of ultra long haul... It's easiest to do a single leg short day for me.. but if I had to pick between multi-leg days and long haul .. I'd take long haul.. especially since you get a decent break with multi crew.

It's usually between 25-30% out of the SEA base. Can't speak for other bases. Sounds like mid November you'll find out more.

Pro tip: buy some lube
