Frankly that's my worst fear. As I've said the HA WB pax pilots should have generous fences to protect them from senior SEA guppy lifers, who will scurry like rats to the 787's if allowed to.
But the AZ WB pilots should really be stapled, because their career expectations are: ACMI

But AS isn't likely to keep that flying for long, so those people will be coming to the other fleets. While posible pax WB reductions are kind of a hypothetical worst case, loss of the AZ planes is a lot closer to "very likely" than to "hypothetical". So the idea of those folks getting super-seniority because "B-scale widebodies" and then air dropping in on top of me in my west coast base is disasteful... I hope you can see that.

You can't, per law and ALPA, that was hyperbole.

I do tend to think the AZ flying should drag down the weight of the WB career expectations across the board. Kind of like if Elliot Mgt merged SWA and Atlas, would you expect the Atlas folks to come out on top?

No that’s not what I meant. The weight given to category is based on seats available, so however many WB PAX captain seats are available would “go” to the top pilots on the HA list. It’s not based on the seat you actually hold but the seat your seniority could hold, if that makes sense. It’s all just an algorithm to use when integrating the lists.
You can't single out individual members of the list based on their current seat.

Yeah and I think your WB order book will likely play a factor as well. All just WAGs at this point though. I think there could and should be protections for current seat, but it won’t necessarily impact the SLI algorithm.
