You keep saying "bump". Are you talking about relative percentage? Well nowhere in ALPA merger policy is "relative percentage". DOH will be a factor for sure. Why not just got 1 for 1 until everyone is merged.
Did AS and VX go DOH? I wonder why not?
A widebody is a higher status and category than a 737. Its in ALPA Merger policy.
If AS puts their eggs in the "HA was doomed" its going to be a surprise when the arbitrators weight the WB planes higher and put fences up,

Some of you in here are really trying to turn this into an East vs West battle. Might as well spin the rumor that the arbitrator is George Nicolau.

I don't care either, and congratulations for winning that jackpot in life, but it shouldn't entitle you to higher seniority than you would have had by DOH.

Maybe that can be mitigated by relative pay scales, as opposed to just assuming "WB's are the Pinnacle".
Personally I'd be OK with bonus seniority for WB's *if* we get fences for our west coast bases.

We will see what the arbitrator says. When Air Group bought VX (who had voted in ALPA but had no CBA) I thought my 2001 hire year would make me immune from any seniority loss. I was wrong about that and lost 230 ish numbers to 2006 VX hires. Not to mention the guys/gals who got furloughed.....well they couldn't count their years of furlough as years of service for the whole seniority list integration. Bitter pill to swallow considering before that the union would stress "seniority is everything". Now I didn't check if I might have went up in relative seniority cause I relented to it is what it is. Nothing we can do about the ALPA arbitrated Ouija board SLI process. It stung at the time cause many of us chose to work for this company and then another company is BOUGHT and their folks who made it quite clear they hate this place big time (rightly so they had a good thing till they were put up for sale) This new SLI integration method is out of our control. As far a wide body pilot holding more weight than a narrow body...........we will see.
Dont be surprised if you slip a few spots on the list.

Yes, that's how it works. Fences for sure, and likely bonus seniority on top of that.
Maybe that can be mitigated by relative pay scales, as opposed to just assuming "WB's are the Pinnacle".
