The main misuse of the policy is to sleep in an extra 5 minutes on a layover and show up unshaven. Like 2% actually maintain an identity beard. Most are Caucasian. Fun conversation though.

I don’t buy the misuse argument either. 5 o’clock shadow or beard are in the same camp in my book. You’re free to disagree.

Don't take corporate virtue signalling personally.

If there's one thing I love it's personal freedom. The woke movement took on the establishment and won. They were so successful that there's "not a chance in hell" that management would risk the "backlash". Where do I sign up to join this group of all American freedom fighters?

Nothing really. Something along the lines of we are only getting 12 Maxs this year instead of 26. As of now only july VRBO for ANC FO and SFO CA. Someone asked about pilot to pilot base trades which I think could be benifical to the pilot group if regulated and appropriately structured. A few answers in Q and A of we appriciate the question and then a blank stare in the camera with no answer. That type of stuff bugs me. That's all I recall.

Base trades make some sense to me, but there's always contention that it "violates seniority".
My take is that it does not violate seniority as it just allows trades when the there are no company vacancies. So two pilots benefit, but nobody else was going to be able to bid another base anyway.
There's a possible slight seniority impact if someone junior to you in your base trades with someone from another base who is senior to you, so you would move down one number in base, with no opportunity to bid yourself.
Hypothetically that might be significant if say 20 people did base trades, all the people junior were leaving and all the people inbound were senior. But staistically that's unlikely.
