Over-all I feel like LOA's are usually beneficial to the pilots, over on this side of the Pacific anyway.
It looks like at HAL we have had 12 LOA’s this year. 6 of them were part of our new PWA such as signing bonus, implementation committee, vacation payout. The remaining 6 include updates to FOQA, a new scheduling clarification form, activation pay earlier, and various improvements to freight travel and training. I don’t see any that aren’t beneficial to our pilots either.

Thanks for the recap! I agree those LOAs sound like a win. I won't go into our LOAs, maybe one was a small win, but all the rest are concessionary including our 65% ratified contract. Appreciate all the information!

OMG, put the gallon of Kool-Aid down! You are the minority, my friend, go fly the line and you will realize how off the tracks you are. Remember 65% ratification, everyone in the industry gave nothing up except us, if this was my last airline the MEC would've been recalled the next day. Immediately after signing, we give up more with these LOAs.

-Signing bonus, that was a per diem check, the senior guys told me they got over 100k on the last round.
-Implementation committee, LOL
-FOQA updates, should be mandatory
-Scheduling Clarification we need this for sure because we gave up all our training scheduling rights.
-Activation pay earlier, why is that not mandatory OMG
-Freight credit because we threw the freight group under the bus on pay
-Training, OMG just listen to the group about training

Ok, you are either a negotiator or in management because you are on another planet. This is my first contract at HA, thank God this will be my last, AS please take the lead on negotiations we can't have this happen again.

Don't get me wrong. I appriciate where you're coming from. However for your own sanity and mental health I would check those expecations about the AS pilot group and MEC.

Understood!

At this point, I would take anyone with a pulse.

Bruh, it’s clear you haven’t been at HAL long. Hope you find happiness somewhere. The HAL ship has left port for SEA and there is nothing you or I can do to stop it. Fighting what’s happened in the past isn’t gonna help our future. So either fish or cut bait.

To be fair, HAL MEC did just appoint the same team from our last NC for Hawaiian's half of the JNC, so if he had concerns about their performance, they're still valid...

Been here long enough to watch the company school our MEC and the negotiating group. Agreed the ship has left port, however, we can stop our current Management, MEC, and negotiating team from creating more damage at our new "Ohana". Our HA pilots need to speak up and let the new "Ohana" know what our current management, MEC, and negotiating group have done in the past and prevent them from creeping into new positions at our new port.

This year we had one pilot go to SWA (yes the data is visible to us). Presumably lived in a SWA base, which is perfectly understandable for a junior pilot... that's the kind of thing I would do.

SWA isn't what it once was, might be again someday, but probably not while legacies are hiring gangbusters and upgrading 20-somethings.
Most of the ex ALK pilots at AA I've met were, like you said, leaving becasue they wanted to live in DFW, ORD, CLT, etc.... I'm bailing early, so don't care much anymore, but.... heads up. Somebody here that seems to be in the know said AA has hired merger council. I'm not in the know, but something seems to be going on. Maybe ALK is buying AA after Hawaiian

That should scare everyone at HA. Don't forget they are creating a new west coast LEC without a pilot vote.
