I believe we can go out on Short Term Disability in as few as 7 days. Pays 40 percent of weekly pay up to $2200 per week and is company paid. There is an optional buy up that pushes the benefit to 60 percent of weekly pay up to $2700 per week. Second is pilot paid at $26 per month. You can supplement disability payments with sick leave up to 85 hours per month.
If you are out 60 days or more you are eligible for rapid re-accrual. Basically get half of what you use back in a secondary bank to use if you exhaust your primary bank.
I’m all for the higher accrual but the penalty deal can die on the vine.

then after 6 months on STD to can continue to use SL if desired before going on LTD.
additionally, there is no offset for other income when on LTD unless you are working at Alaska in some capacity.

we have not had that many LOAs. And all have been in our favor. I don’t remember what our percentage was. It was a long time ago and only the losers remember.
one of the LOAs was giving us a much bigger boat raise than the contract required.
don’t read the SWA contract comparison. It is full of exaggeration to help sell their industry lagging contact pass. All they did was get pay rates. Way more to a contact than pay rates. But hey, glad that got the rates, helps our snap up.

With one exeption the dates go back to 2005 the majority 30+ start at 2020.
The ratification percentage was answered factually.

There are 44 LOA that have been "bundled" into our contract. The language reads: "LOA have full force and effect of contract language. That are entered to provide detail that is too cumbersome for inclusion in the body of the CBA."

The majority before some after. As was previously mentioned the vast majoirty of these LOAs are at least IMO a win for the pilot group. I don't have time to pick apart all 44. However one LOA was our out of contract raise or market adjustment that allowed the AS pilot group to throw out the SWA pilot payscale to complete the average pay calculation. For me personally this resulted in over 34 dollars an hour of extra pay starting in September. Not bad.

I can't remember any win LOAs that were signed since ratification except for a bump in credit for the freighter. Unfortunately, the freighter was put on a lower pay scale than the passenger group. I still can't sleep at night over the pay difference, I was looking forward to bidding the freighter until the pay drop. I am reminded on every trip by the senior group that they got it the worst because they had to bid on a vacancy bid for the 787 with no pay rates established, then a few days later the contract was ratified @(65%) and the 787 pay rate was the same as the 330, so I really can't complain about the freight pay. LOL.
Great Info, in Unity...

The freighter does pay $1,000/mo for commuting tickets and a couple of hotel nights. Think it is pretty much a wash.

The $1,000 a month is only paid out when the company elects not to provide (4) one way tickets from the pilots elected gateway base to CVG. Its all or nothing, meaning they have to pay $1,000 to every pilot on the 330F. They have yet to elect to pay and I believe they have not done this yet because so many pilots are sitting and not flying because we have one aiframe. The B-Scale is unfortunate and is definelty a factor that needs to be addressed in the HALASKA PWA.
