Hopefully none of our managers at HAL survive the merger. Our Flight ops team management and training managers are a big part of why we're here.

Literally just a guess but I would be willing to bet you see close to, if not dead on DOH from the AS date of announcement with the VX merger used to integrate that level of seniority, and later.

When you say DOH is a good *starting* point, are you thinking that the abitrator should make the initial list based strictly on DOH, just to see where everybody falls.
Make a tweak for size since AS has a little over twice as many pilots as HA.
Then for the final HA/AS list, adjust upwards only the VX pilots for relative position wrt to the AS legacy guy they were next to under the VX/AS SLI?

IMO it's too hard to speculate on minutia. My big picture swag would be roughly DOH with some consideration for WBs, although that might be fences, seniority, or a combination of the two. I'd guess some consideration for AS financial position.
Maybe 737 fences to protect west coast bases? That seems less likely since HA also has NBs.
My understanding is that normally fleets, not bases, are fenced but I don't know if that's a possibility.
I have no experience making this kind of sausage, I'm just speculating based on what I've observed over the years.

I don't think VX pilots will get any special treatment, one way or another. I think they'll be treated like anyone else on the AS list. That ship already sailed.

By all means, let's continue to be divisive and drive a wedge between ourselves before merging with the next group.

I was therefore talking about fair, not special treatment for those VX guys.

There are no VX pilots anymore. What happened with the last integration was the end of that. Can’t re-tune an SLI.
