Lol, you have to be joking? If you actually believe that then you must be the rookie, or a total moron. It’s very simple, nobody wants to commute to reserve unless it’s short lived. The equipment and type of flying or where you layover at is irrelevant if you’re commuting to reserve.

United has one of the worse commuter policies combined with some of the worst reserve rules in the entire industry. Especially their WB side with global reserve. The WB FO and NB CA positions were going to NH’s because nobody wants to commute to reserve for years. Both those positions take a lengthy amount of time to hold a line. As in YEARS. Most of those new hires awarded WB FO would bid out of the WB by either breaking their seat lock or the seat lock expiring which then rolled the position back to another incoming NH.

Seriously how bad do you think it must be if thousands of pilots are refusing to bid a NB CA position that pays over 400k a year. You can’t be that naive.

Word gets a bit full of himself sometimes. Thanks for the realistic perspective.

Oh that’s pure gold coming from you. Check the source. Dude’s more negative than you possibly and he doesn’t work for United.

That’s your rebuttal? You know I’m right then. It’s not difficult to figure out why those two specific positions go junior. Btw neither are going to United NH’s anymore as hiring has slowed dramatically.

For the 2025 rate overlap, a mere $59.75 behind, and 2026, $42.79. We shouldn’t be comparing 2027, unless you’d like to include that we don’t even get 5 hours per day until March 2025. I believe most airlines made 5/day an entire cycle ago.

Looks like a fixer upper to me, but I’m glad you’re gloating.
Spot on.

I voted no and still have the screenshot just as a reminder.

Not totally sure about this. I had a Delta buddy who would bid WB reserve over a decade ago. Guess Delta had a Long Call of 24 hrs. He was perfectly happy staying home and going to work less than he would have bidding a line. Bidding reserve on a NB might be a different story. Living in a lower cost city meant he didn't have to worry about padding his credit.

HA just started a Long Call. Not sure of the complete benefits, but it seems it may be beneficial to West Coasters. 14 hr call outs look like they give West Coast commuters just enough time to report for most WB/NEO routes.

actually it’s because the new contract improved reserve a lot. A lot of laxtoden said is dated, I’m on global reserve by choice and it’s a night and day difference from before

Wait, actual first-hand knowledge rather than conjecture? That just won’t stand here.

and you'd still be without a PWA and picketing a profit less company while making significantly less than your peers.
