This is my 3rd merger. To all the HA pilots- welcome to air group. This place prints money. Let’s go get a solid JCBA, fair SLI, hold management accountable, compete SWA out of the islands, Delta out of Seattle and try and make the best of it. Most of it will be out of our control anyway. Don’t listen to the trolls on here.

If they move widebodies to Seattle it would effectively reduce the flying on the 737. So essentially not allowing Seattle based pilots to bid over would be essentially a flush as well. I honestly don't see management pulling any widebodies out of HNL. But if some new deliveries get based in SEA or PDX and legacy AS crews are locked out of them it would be ugly. And this is coming from an LAX VX guy.

Either way there's nothing any of us can do about it at this point. Beating each other up accomplishes nothing. The it's in the hands of the arbitrator. Hopefully we're all just a little upset and then it was a fair SLI. Just didn't lock me out of the 321! 😂

There's no possibility of a major reorg in the near future. Capacity issues for widebodies in other bases is just one challenge.

Also, this company tends not to rock the boat too fast. Changes will be slow and palatable, and far less than what the doom sayers on APC say.

It's going to be a great finished product. We will get there together.

actually, I came in 4th. Just missed Bronze.

oh, and speaking of least self aware… you do realize my statement of VX pilots winning the lottery is a fact. Not a speculation about secret DOJ negotiations. If any VX pilots think I am wrong, they can offer to give up their lottery ticket and ask to be moved 9 years down the seniority list where they belong…. Along with their tray tables.

Agreed. Not my first dance either. Hit the JCBA out of the park and do a fair SLA where no one is happy. As it should be.

The potential synergies between the two groups is amazing. Said potential just needs to be realized with the proper management. The flying that we're sitting on out here is an absolute Goldmine when done right. Doesn't help anything when you sit back and watch carriers like Southwest and Untied just come in and add flying that we never did when we should have. The 95 year old business plan we operate under has been on life support needing the plug pulled since before covid. There was no reviving it, so here we are now. The combined airline could technically add routes out of Honolulu as well as your West Coast bases at the same time. Everyone prospers. Maybe even add a base in the middle of the country as well as the east coast of eventually. Take the combination and turn it into a real player. Give the big-4 a run for their money.

You're a fool. I lost longevity. But I'm not complaining.

Unlike you.
