The difference is at HAL 100% of our widebody (and 321) flying is out and back 1-leg a day trips. Most widebody flying at the other legacies has a large percentage of multi-day W patterns. At HAL you can credit 80-85 hours in 12 days of work and only sleep in a hotel 6-8 nights.

Latest rumor was the DOJ was planning on blocking last week. Alaska asked for an extension to try and work things out. I guess we’ll know more tomorrow.

Didn’t hear that one, unless you mean seeking alpha and their buddies at CTFN quoting each other and trying to short the stock.

Nope, just rumors from pilots…so take it for what it’s worth…

If you heard it from pilots, they heard it from Seeking Alpha, because I haven't seen it anywhere else.

We have this little thing called coconut wireless in the islands. There is no such thing as a secret in Hawaii…sometimes it’s good intel and others not so much…

Gotta be pretty senior for that. I’d say top 30% of either seat. Every other airline gets more credit for days worked.

I’ve heard a hard no, but suddenly Alaska management came alive at the end. Who knows if real progress is made and parties are willing to compromise.

If it was a hard no, there wouldn't be an extension. Let's apply some common sense to the rumors...

They could still block it, but if they were a hard no, there is no reason to any of the extensions, the DOJ could simply say no and save all this mess.

Well all speculation, but Alaska could have caved after previously balking out the compromise demands by the DOJ. I do believe progress is being made at present it’s looking good. But I think it being blocked was real likelyhood going into last week.
