How would I know that?

I'm simply pointing out that this is either a massive coincidence that the DOJ would ask for a Thursday the 15th and not a Friday to decide on the merger when the options expiration date is Friday the 16th. Or it's possibly more than that.

This could work either way for calls or puts.

I bet Boeing is paying to cover the overage in pilot staffing for now.

Every base is getting open time and premium trip texts on the daily. We simply are not as overstaffed as we are led to believe.

We are mis staffed rather than overstaffed. They are choosing low line values which means more line holders and less reserves. Line holders as a group want more credit but can't get it while reserves are burning out and tapping out from a summer of nothing but back to back red eyes. Crew planning is stubbornly sticking to a model that they think is cheaper. I don't count the beans, but given all of the emails complaining about too many cancellations and how much they cost coupled with all of last minute premium open time, it leads me to believe that the company is shooting their own foot when choosing ALV which controls reserve levels.

We are overstaffed. They are choosing to run thin on reserves though.

SEA and maybe SFO FO are the only places where reserves are getting abused. Everywhere else is pretty great for utilization. Senior people are choosing to bid down in every other base/seat.

Read that sentence out loud, slowly.

Yep, they offer VRBOs and again, open time and premium trips are hitting basically every base and seat. I know SEA, PDX, LAX and SFO in both seats. I agree regarding the misstaffing, we are not utilizing the pilot group correctly. The ALV needs to change 100%

SFO FO might be the only base and seat truly understaffed, but I really can't come up wth any scenario where we are legitimately overstaffed. If anything we are properly staffed and mismanaged.

I’m not sure why that’s a difficult concept to understand.

Pretty sure for the first time since the door blow out VRBO was not offered in SEA for September. At least for CA.
