The linked-to article says, "The latest update comes after some media outlets last week said..."

The main one being Seeking Alpha. It's using itself as a reference.

This isn't helping my distrust for the media.

Maybe it's just me but I noticed that the HA stock was very resiliant during the most recent market correction. Most of the other airline stocks were down 3-5% but HA was flat the entire time.

I'd wager the August 15th date has a lot more to due with a HA options contract expiry date on August 16th rather than a labor vote.

Can you explain what that means?

Yes. It means nobody has any idea what they’re talking about.

I’d wager to bet August 15 is National lemon Meringue Pie Day, which is why they extended the review period

I'm not going to explain how options work but there is a lot of money betting on the HA/AS merger. One of the expiration dates on a lot of these options happen on August 16th. I found it just a little bit sus that the DOJ asked for the 15th to make a decision.

Or you could be like my friend Carebare and think you're smarter than everyone else....

So who exactly in the DOJ/HA/AS insider circle has blatantly placed a bunch of options, and now gone on the public record conspiring to manipulate the regulatory process to commit gross insider trading? SEC & DOJ would like to know.
