I think 737 deliveries are a large problem right now but with the shortage being effectively over, AS is going back to it's typical growth of darn near next to nothing, if anyting at all, for the foreseeable future but adding an airline that also has growth plans at least doubles our potential for growth. We all know the AS "tightening of the ship" that will happen but I don't see how this will somehow be devastating to any AS pilot.

It almost feels like we are assuming Hawaiian is going to push every AS pilot out of their seat and base and while there will be some changes I am sure, I just don't see things really changing drastically.
Buying another airline that is 15/20% over staffed on pilots isn’t growth for us though. How does that help seniority progression for anyone on our list currently ?

I don’t think HA had any major growth plans for the near future either per there meeting yesterday.
I could be wrong though.

Right.
7 more A330 freighters this year and 10 787 over the next 3. This for a company with 65ish total frames, and over 9 years on the Amazon contract.

I don’t know about you, but I didn’t go to a legacy carrier to be at the whim of contract flying.

VX SLI took aboput 2.5 years, from acquisition announcement date.

All indications hint that AS intends to wrap this up on a very aggressive timetable, if approved. They want to start realizing synergistic returns from the new business paradigm asap, blah, blah, blah.

I've heard JCBA in less than one year, then SLI to follow. JCBA timeline is of course up to the company... they could have a JCBA in a week if they want it bad enough.

Who knows, definitely won’t be that long though. What’s your point
