Why are there mentions of growth with 787s and 737s if the merger doesn't go through on our internal forum?
We have no plans for 787s and we can't get 737s on the normal timetable. Deliveries of the MAX 10 are very delayed probably until 2026.
Did I miss a memo about the TPS reports again?

Just wishful thinking, reality is there will not be any growth for a while for the reasons you point out. I doubt an Alaska pilot will see any benefit from a merger growth wise for a long time if it happens to be approved. I still can’t for the life of me understand why a current pilot at Alaska would want this merger to happen unless they live in Hawaii.

But that's OK. Keep all of your loyalty into the company that moved thousands of jobs away from the left coast to cut cost and make a less reliable product from what all are used too. Sarcasm directed to management, not you brother pilots. At least your management likes profit and growth.

If only Airbus made a 321 NEO or an XLR. Better plane (IMHO) and you don't need a shoe-horn to get in. Bonus points that it has two usable jumpseats.

I just find it very weird that pilots on our internal forum are saying we will get 787s even if the merger doesn't go through. Even if we ordered one when the merger was announced we wouldn't see it on property for another 5-6 years.

Alaska loves growth...as long as it's more RJs or replacing smaller 73s with bigger 73s that require no additional crew.
