Why so dishonest? 12 off means 18-19 days of work. 19x6 is 110+ and that's 0 premium 0 cbt 0 re routing 0 vacation. 100 with 16 off is easily done if you are in the top 60% in seat. You think delta just throws soft time at all their line holder trips? Can you give any examples?

I live in base. Not everybody can. This “I make 110hrs”, “
I make 600k”, “pro tip “ … tone deaf, village mentality, typical AS . Gonna be great to hire 600 pilots with 400 applicants. That’s what you get when “living in base” is your motto.

I don’t need to show anything, you’re pretty suspect…you said you “flew” here in a previous post. Trashing folks for saying 94 hours is average. 94 is no miracle, just your average line with a turn or shortback ptp pickup. 100 hours? Bid a line with soft time and pickup a little more. Money is there, as much you can take…yeah you gotta work. Oh, and it shocks No one that qol and making money are easier living in base…that’s true everywhere not just AS. But hey, everywhere else is Shangri-la where money falls from the sky.

Speaking facts and truth about living in base is now "tone deaf". This is a fact at all airlines. Sorry it hurt your feelings.

This is true for any legacy airline. You think United and Delta subsidize their pilot housing for pilots who need to live in their junior bases of SF, NY or LA? Guys at Delta or United aren’t working 70 hours a month and making $500k/yr. I can tell you that a 12yr FO flying widebodies at United makes 10% less than a narrowbody captain does and the narrowbody captain spends 50 more days away from home.

My feelings are not hurt. I live in base. I am tired of the rhetoric here on this forum. For all new aspiring pilots at AS, let’s keep it honest. 600k per year is not the normal. No 110hrs credit is not the norm. It’s just a job, paid less than at legacy carriers and flying with cool people at interesting places. With an antiquated way of making a monthly schedule. Line bidding at 80+ credit with clunky two steps adjustments to make up for loss of vac credit . Let’s be real. Like I said. Just a job flying a 1960s designed airplane .
