When is an Alaska pilot going to be able to make $550k?

Hard to believe that this guy gets it, but The Eagle does not. Wait no it doesn’t.

This is true.

304.00 x 70hrs x 12 mo = Alaska captain 12 yr guarantee. (used to be 75hrs/mo. Went away with the Mandate contract. Performance based pay otherwise known as a 12 mo interest free loan to Alaska pays 5% of allowable W2. Per diem is not a factor and all the rest ie 401K, medical etc are “cost of doing business” items….No one will show up if they are not offered. Everything else above that requires some kinda event or deal

Nobody is only getting paid min guarantee of 70hrs, unless they really want too & can drop….most if not all lines are built at 76hrs-86hrs….

Do you really believe that?
Honest numbers, those that just fly their line and don’t commute across the entire country and pick up here or there. ie “the average AS CA”
94 x 312 x 12= 352,000 + 7.5% PBP 26,500 = $378,500… Ask someone in the union, those are honest earnings of just your average 12 year CA at ALK. There are some hustlers that will hit 600k at AS in 2023, yes they are exceptions, just like they are the exceptions at Delta Airlines in 2023!

It’s never classy to brag about your paycheck to anyone, but please keep trying to justify **** poor behavior.

I know a handful of 12 year captains and the last thing they want to do is pick up. Your numbers are so false it’s not even funny. The 600k AS guys are the same million dollar exceptions at Delta. What maybe a half dozen 30+ years into the company and you want to act like everyone on the seniority list at any company can get there. DELUSIONAL

Those are the numbers, more than 50 at AS last year hit a 500 number. If the 12 guys you know are not commuters, then they are making at least 360-400k guaranteed…. No matter what they are telling you. If you compared NB hustlers at both companies, you would be shocked how close the numbers are… trouble is, most of the angry 30 at AS want to compare our NB rates to their WB rates and argue their perceived gross disparity. We will snap, the 30 will continue to beat their drums. Whatever, I gave everyone real numbers. Call your reps, they know what the average line CA is making, they know what the hustlers are making. I never argued everyone was making 600k in 2023… very few will. After the snap, I would argue that the average CA at AS is making 390-400 though.

So 50/3000 that’s what you’re going by Jesus Christ man… 350-400 is a stock number but a far cry from your 550 that everyone will be able
to make and let’s say you can do that when you’re 62 who cares when you weren’t even close to making that in your trunk years. You’re everything that’s wrong with the industry when you only care about the top years and not the most important ones.
