Only in 18% land does AS pay equal Delta pay. If AS got 337, no way would Delta have settled for anything less than 357. And then the 18% would still be mad they “only” got 337. The numbers are all arbitrary at this point. The anger is not getting Delta pay. Not sure why that was thought as expected.
Not sure why you think we shouldn’t.

Historical context since 1932? With maybe an exception for post 9/11 BK cuts.

UA maybe by September 2023. AA maybe September 2024. SWA unknown.

I'm a lot more upset about our "retro" pay. I wound up with 22K working every month through the pandemic. My buddy hired the same month at Delta, as I at AS on the 320 as an FO: 70K.
So you're saying Delta pays better than everyone else? Didn't we already know that?

Im not sure why he thinks working for a discount is ok either. If UA/DL can be within half a percent of each other there’s no reason AS can’t either especially considering the variety of flying they do.

Rates are not everything but they do represent a big something. Shy, as others have likely posed would you be content with our CBA at $282 right now everything else being the same? Because that’s just where you’d be based on your rhetoric. And at $282 would you still be rationalizing it like you feverishly are at $306? I’m actually curious… how low would you actually be willing to accept on rate before you began to ponder… “gee I might be more valuable than that?” $250? $240?

It’s not about anger Shy. It’s simply some of us find it bewildering what is settled for here in todays environment and it’s accompanying fervent rationalization for the work we do to make this company a butt ton of $$.

That didn’t happen though. What did happen is you going to 318 this year and Delta 337. That’s where the angst is.

Then you establish Delta snap +1 as a benchmark minimum. Not go in predisposed to Delta -20.

You are worth more than you give yourself credit for.

Idk man, my DL buddy’s in SEA still do way too many FOUR and FIVE day trips. My ratio of TAFB to pay still has them beat almost every month.
