Read the bottom note concerning the 5:15 ADG in the Executive Summary.

“Trips comprised of a single duty period are exempt from this provision (red eye/all-nighter turns for example).”

Delta does not have this bullish!t carve out. Those ANC all-nighters should be paying 10:30, not 7:30. Under the current Delta contract they would pay 10:30. I am starting to wonder if people are even noticing all of the “Easter Eggs” in this TA.

Where are the all nighter turns besides ANC. I did not see that until you pointed it out. Nothing should be exempt from the ADG.

This carve out is BS. Not sure how that made it in the TA. #alaskadiscount.

a WOCL override would have gone a long way to help with this. It affects about 30 total trips

If anyones curious, look at line 431 in Seattle for October. It pays and credits 76:18. Until ADG is implemented as pay and credit in March, this line will pay 99:45 under the contract. December January and February, all those junior lines will pay in the high 90s until the credit is added in.

It is total BS. ALPA and the company claim this TA is industry leading but then, in the fine print, there are a bunch these carve outs that completely water it down. Delta does not have a carve out like that in their contract language. Why should we? Answer: Alaska Discount. Sometime here in the near future Delta will ratify a contract where their narrow body rates will exceed those in this TA. At that time their narrow body pilots will make even more due to their superior work rules. The reason Alaska pilots never achieve the contract we deserve is because management knows we have accepted our position as second class citizens. Let’s fix this bullish!t!

Your assuming those trips will still be built that way under ALPA PBS. Maybe, but also maybe not….

Well let’s cross our fingers instead of sending this thing back and fixing it the right way. We also need wocl override, extra pay over 80 hrs, better rates, actual retro, and another day off for reserves to name a few.

The NC, MEC did a great job, they just need our help finishing the deal.

If this TA is indeed the “1 NB contract” now, one would have to ask will this be the ceiling in which everyone else shoots for or will this be the bottom for which everyone starts? I think most know the answer but at the least the bottom has been benchmarked and we all thank you for setting the bar.
