Since the required airlines will not have a signed contract by 9/1, there will be no snap up in 2023.

…because we never had a “snap-up.” It was a pathetic attempt at maybe potentially being average. And when this pilot group shoots for average, it always ends up below.

Alaska pilots apparently cannot recognize a contract loophole.

Is MinFlyer (the guy who asked about a snap up) an AS pilot?

Pretty sure AS pilots know it’s an average of AA, DL, UA, SW, and B6.

Pretty sure they also didn’t realize relying on others to bump your pay with too many contractual stipulations is not a good idea. A snap-up is what Delta has. This fun nugget was just good enough to fool a bunch of…fools.

Oh it’s still a snap up. Just a snap up to mediocrity.

Way to go disrespecting your fellow pilot group. Maybe if your so smart and have all the answers, you should join the union.

First of all: You’re*
Second, I am part of the union. Lastly, I’ll fully respect this pilot group when they show they deserve it. I’m sure that hurts your feelings but you’ll be alright.

Hmmm, apparently none of the responders has listened to the latest Podcast.
ALPA is expecting to snap up “all the way” regardless of who, what, where has a new contract because “that was the intent” and the Company is realizing that all the departures (Pilots leaving) will dictate such move. I guess time will tell and we should know in September (or earlier)?!

I’m sure the the unions intent and the Companies intent are vastly different. All I have to go on is the actual language. This tells me there will be no snap to mediocrity in September.
